Geraldine Calderone Obituary
Cherished sister of Anthony "Tony" (the late Joan) Buccinna and the late Joseph (the late Tina) Buccinna. Loving aunt of Katherine (Michael) Metiva, Lisa (Jay) Blackburn, the late Joe Buccinna, and James (Jessica) Buccinna. She was a proud and doting great-aunt to Emma, Michael, Zachary, Ryan, Evan, Christopher, and Matthew.
Gerri lived a life dedicated to service, faith, and community. A faithful member of San Francesco Catholic Church, she was active in the San Francesco Altar Society, the Calabria Club, and the San Francesco Orphan's Club. Her passion for preserving and celebrating her heritage led her to serve on the Board of Directors of the Italian American Cultural Society and participate in the Columbus Day Committee. She was also a proud member of the America's of Italian Origins (AIO) and AMIT, the women's club.
Gerri's legacy is one of generosity, faith, and cultural pride. Her commitment to others extended far beyond her family and friends. The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Sunrise of Bloomfield Hills for the exceptional care and compassion they gave to Gerri during her time there.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 Fifteen Mile Road, Sterling Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchins or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, two causes close to Gerri's heart.
She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered for her love, her service, and her unwavering spirit.
