Louis Fico Obituary

Gates/Greece: Passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at age 76. He is predeceased by his first wife, Sharon (Monti) Sunderville, the mother of his three children, Krista Fico (Deb Dengel), Matthew (Ashley) Fico and Alyssa (Mike) Ulmer, and Elaine Masiello Fico, his soulmate, loving best friend, and second wife of 30 years; father and mother, Joseph and Mary Fico. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Jaxon Joseph and Maya Lee Ulmer; sister, Adele Fico (Bill Buechel); brother, Daniel (Lisa) Fico; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Louie owned and operated Repair and Refinish Collision and was in business for 50 years. He was a "car nut." He loved being with people and enjoyed laughter with others.
No prior calling. On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, all are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Corpus Christi Church (E. Main St. and Prince St.). Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Louis' family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Rochester General Hospital, 5th Floor Intensive Care Unit, for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The RRH Foundation – ICU, 330 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14607 (rochesterregional.org/giving) or to The Aquinas Fund, c/o Aquinas Institute, 1127 Dewey Avenue, Rochester NY 14613 (aquinasinstitute.com/apps/pages/give-now) in his memory.

Louie was the kind of guy that could walk into a room and befriend anyone with his charm and wit. I had the privilege to call him family and witnessed how much he was loved. There's simply not enough adjectives in the American lexicon to discribe the kind of man he was. I will think of him every time I hear The Beatles, see a hotrod or anything to do with Extraterrestrial life. He was larger than life and a hero of mine. Thank you Lou for your acceptance, your love and the many memories I will carry with me. Till we meet again, my God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Louie was a great guy. We met as neighbors at our Fieldstone Villas and quickly became friends to him and his beloved Elaine. We will miss him, but since DeJa, his fur baby passed, he really was missing Elaine so. We have faith in knowing they are together again. His mass was a great celebration of love and remembrance of the Louie we all love and laughed will over the years.
Our sincere condolences to Adele, his family & dear friends.
