Born January 4, 1947, in the Bronx, she was a woman of profound faith, devoted to leading others to Christ, loving her family deeply, and was dedicated to healing work through ministry and nursing.
Louise served God throughout her life as a Nun, Registered Nurse, and Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God. For over 40 years, she and her husband, Robert, pastored home missions and planted churches across New York and Pennsylvania. Gifted musically, she played 1st chair, 2nd violin in the Bronx Youth Orchestra, conducted by Leonard Bernstein. Louise was a teacher, mentor, spiritual guide to many, and a lifelong learner, earning her Master's degree at age 70.
Remembered for her honesty, kindness, resourceful and generous spirit. Louise brought joy and wisdom wherever she went. She desired to be a beautiful fragrance in the lives of others—and she truly was. Her home was open to all. Welcoming countless visitors and nurturing close relationships along the way. Louise cherished her family, built a loving and godly home with her husband Bobby. She delighted in family gatherings. Homeschooling, cheering on her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews in life, sharing meals with her loved ones, and playing a good game of cards—especially with lemon meringue pie.
Louise is survived by her husband, Robert; children Michael (Bonnie), Robert (Karissa), Christa (Mathew) Shook, and Joelene (Robert) Kavanaugh; grandchildren Rachel Kline, Maria Costello, Carlos and Cortez Costello, Airianna Shook, Winter and Evangeline Hubbell, Zachary and Bella Shook, Lily Kavanaugh; great-grandchildren Evan Watson and Clara Callahan; siblings Phyllis Taddeo and Joseph (Josie) Taddeo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She joins in Heaven her parents Louis and Domenica (Mafrici) Taddeo, siblings Samuel Taddeo and Toni Leno, mother-in-law Catherine Ratz, and brother-in-law Jimmy Costello.
Louise was a prayer warrior. Her unwavering faith, love, and strength will be cherished by all who knew her.
