Louise D. Del Re (nee Mancini) age 96, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Carol Mengelkamp (husband Thomas), Nicholas (wife Virginia), Diane Jamieson (husband Michael), Marilyn Levand (husband Victor); devoted grandmother of John Mengelkamp, Steve Mengelkamp (wife Linda), Joe Del Re (wife Ariana), Melissa Tripi (husband Phil), Jessica Tripi (husband Tony), Michael Jamieson, Lindsey Nicholson (husband Alex), Rosemary Jamieson, Victor Levand (wife Jamie), Mark Levand PhD, Carmen Schwab (husband Sam) and C.J. Levand and great-grandmother of 11; cherished daughter of the late Giuseppe and Aurora (nee Tancredi) Mancini; dearest sister of the late Sue Mancini; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Louise was born on July 10, 1925 in Cleveland. She died peacefully on September 20, 2021. Louise and her family moved to South Euclid in 1960 after growing up in Collinwood. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
She graduated from Collinwood High School in 1943. She worked as an office administrator for Fincun-Mancini Court Reporters. Louise enjoyed baking and crafting. Louise also enjoyed visiting casinos. She was a Cleveland Indians fan and an avid reader. Louise loved to travel and especially enjoyed time with her family in Italy. She enjoyed playing cards and had belonged to a number of card clubs.
She was devoted to her family and will be dearly missed.
Contributions may be made in memory of Louise to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9:30 AM. Burial following at Lake View. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Louise at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8 PM.
