Louise Porter Friedman

Louise Porter Friedman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, age 76, of Austin, TX, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025 after a valiant battle with Leiomyosarcoma, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 12, 1949, in Omaha, NE, Louise dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joy was traveling with her wonderful husband and talking to anyone that would listen about her grandsons. After she retired from the State of Texas Health and Human Services Texas HealthSteps Division, she enjoyed ushering at the University of Texas football games and working at the Frank Erwin Center for 22 years where she made numerous friends who loved her dearly.
She is survived by loving husband of 27 years Ronald Friedman; her children: Erica Case (Wesley) and Sarah Schneider; 3 grandsons: Matthew Wilson (Sophie), Kyle Owen, and Tanner Owen; and her sisters Dianne Fritz (Denny), Maureen Bilek (Joe), Louanne Wedeking (Steve), Kathy Butler (Randy), Billie Aherns (Cam), brother-in-law Herb; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Louis A Porter Jr, mother Anne Bellefeuille Rivard, and her sister Grace Roberts.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thank you to Gentiva Hospice, Beck Funeral Home, and all of the neighbors and friends for their compassion and caring over the past few weeks.
