Louise Ann Gudaitis, age 71, of Ball Ground, GA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 7, 1953, in Jacksonville, NC, Louise lived a life filled with love and devotion for her family and friends. For 52 years, she was the beloved wife of Michael Gudaitis and together, they raised their two daughters.
Louise retired in 2011 from the Clayton County school system, where she was known for her reliability, warmth, and playful spirit. She served as a school bus driver, a paraprofessional, and later a high school secretary, touching the lives of many students and colleagues through her caring and playful nature.
In her spare time, Louise enjoyed learning new crafts like string arat and cross-stitching, as well as traveling and entertaining her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Alfred; her sister, Joanne Kelley; and her brothers, David and Tommy Baum.
Louise is survived by her husband, Michael Gudaitis; her brothers, Allan Greer and Stephen Pomfred; and her loving daughters, Laura (Danny) Adams and Stacy (Frank) Santamaria. She was a proud grandmother to Claudia (Tyler) Staton, Camellia Adams, Scott David Adams, Jr., Madilyn, Lillian, and Caroline Santamaria, and a great-grandmother to Asher and Alexander Staton.
Louise will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a dear friend. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation is planned for Monday August 25, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Canton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 12:30 PM also at Canton Funeral Home. Interment at the Ga National Cemetery will take place immediately following at 2:30 PM.
