Louise O. Gatlin, 91 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, July 3, 2015, at The Highlands Of Dyersburg in Dyersburg,Tennessee. Born Friday, May 16, 1924, in Newbern, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Burrell Oliver and the late Lou Delota Walker Oliver. Mrs. Gatlin was a homemaker and member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Funeral services for Mrs. Gatlin will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2015, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Scott Owen . Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern,Tennessee. Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2015, from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. She is survived by a daughter; Teresa Johnson (Terry) of Newbern, Tennessee, four grandchildren; Trent Johnson ( Abby) of Trenton, Tennessee, Tara Dement (Alex) of Newbern, Tennessee, Angela Gatlin and Lisa Gatlin both of Ridgely, Tennessee, eight great-grand children; Luke Johnson, Lucy Johnson, Dalton Dement, Laura Jane Dement, Lowell Owen, Thomas Owen, Matthew Owen and Stefanie Kobilka, and one great great grandchild, Johnathan Van Webb, In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Millard Gatlin, a son; David E. Gatlin, two brothers Clyde H. Oliver and Roy Cherry Oliver and one sister Sarah Walch. Pallbearers will be Danny Carpenter, Austin Brown, Harry Elliott, David Oliver, Hank Gray, and David Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Shaw and Frank Pierce. The family ask that memorials be directed to Parr Avenue Church Of Christ Library, Parr Avenue, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024, Community Cancer Fund,P. O. Box 1055,Dyersburg, Tennessee or St. Jude Children's Hospital ,P.O. Box # 1000, Department 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38101-9908.
