Obituary
Louise A. (Falls) Weinhardt, 99, of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2023 at The Gatehouse. She was born December 4, 1923 in Shawville, PA to Benjamin F. and Evalyn (Watson) Falls. She graduated from South Williamsport High School and worked at Weldons and Jesco Athletics in Williamsport as a seamstress. On November 5, 1949 she married Robert C. Weinhardt with whom she spent 39 years of marriage until his death in May of 1989. Louise was an active member of Church of the Savior Lutheran Church where she served on the Alter Guild, as a Congregational Leader, played in the Bell Choir, and was a member of the Keenagers Group. When Church of the Savior closed, she attended Messiah Lutheran Church in South Williamsport. She and Robert were avid Penn State fans and lifetime ticketholders, and they loved camping, especially at Marsh Hill first in a tent, then a camper, and eventually they refurbished a cabin there.
Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family, but is survived by several nieces and nephews from the Frey, Falls, Barry and Weinhardt families.
Friends and family are invited to pay tribute to Louise's life from 10-11am Monday April 24, 2023 at the Maneval Allen Redmond Funeral Home 500 W. 4th Street Williamsport, PA, with a funeral to follow in the funeral home. Burial will be at Twin Hills Memorial Park. Donations in her memory may be made to the Presbyterian Home at Williamsport 810 Louisa Street Williamsport, PA 17701, or The Gatehouse Hospice 1100 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
