Louise E. Wilusz, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 20, 2024, in Washington Twp., NJ. She was born on February 12, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Pietro and Concetta Lodise. Louise was full of life and touched the lives of all who knew and loved her.
She was the cherished wife of the late Domenico, who predeceased her in 1969, and subsequently found love again with her surviving husband, Mr. Edward Wilusz. Together, they loved to dance, cook and host family celebrations which brought them joy and created countless memories.
A loving mother, Louise's legacy is carried on through her children, Stephen Cicalese, Robert P. Cicalese (Susan), Sr. Donna Cicalese, SSJ, and Domenic Cicalese (Cynthia). Her brother, Aurelio "Ray" Lodise (the late Charlotte), cherishes the memories of their shared childhood, along with the remembrance of seven additional siblings who predeceased her.
Louise's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys. She loved when her grandchildren shared their latest adventures and she could hold her great grandchildren in her arms. Looking at their photographs filled her with such happiness and wiped away all her cares. Her nurturing love will continue to live on in her grandchildren, Michael, John, Carolyn, Anthony, and Amelia Cicalese, and her great-grandchildren, Oliver and Juliet Cicalese.
Throughout her life, Louise was active in her parish community where she shared her gift of baking and shopping by running the White Elephant at parish carnivals. Ed and Louise enjoyed traveling in the United States as well as Italy where she connected with her heritage. More recently, she and Ed resided in Cardinal Village of Washington Twp., NJ.
Louise's spirit, hearty laugh and determined nature will be profoundly missed. Her memory will be treasured by her many nieces, nephews, and their families, whose lives she enriched.
Viewing will be Friday, August 23, 2024, 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM at Infant Jesus Parish/St. John Vianney Church, 2901 Good Intent Rd., Deptford, NJ 08096, where her Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow with her late husband Domenico at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph (Development Fund), 9701 Germantown Ave., Phila., PA 19118
