Lourice A. (Jurdi) Beshara, born July 2, 1922, peacefully passed away Saturday evening, September 20, 2025, at the age of 103 in Tewksbury, MA.

Lourice was born and raised in Lawrence, MA; one of seven children, she attended Lawrence Public Schools, graduating from Lawrence High School before finding work as a Machine Lathe Operator at Davis & Furber Machine Co. during World War II. It was during her time here that her life would truly begin.

In March of 1946, Lourice met her future husband, life partner, and soulmate, Herbert G. Beshara while working at D&F. The moment he set eyes on the nice Lebanese girl with long wavy hair, in black trousers and a red sweater, their fate was sealed. After seven months of courting, Herbert and Lourice married in October of 1946 and began their life-long commitment to each other.

Lourice was the epitome of the modern woman – working a full-time job as a Layout Operator for Western Electric, managing a household, and raising a family. She was an active member in her church community and a member of the A.I.M. church organization, and after 25 years with Western Electric, Lourice retired and thoroughly enjoyed life. She loved going to the theatre, reading, traveling with Herb – exploring the country from the redwoods in California to visiting family in Missouri and Florida, and above all else, her family. She especially liked spending time with her grandchildren; frequently hosting over nights, taking them on day adventures, weekends away at the lake, attending every school event, parade, graduation, and birthday.

Lourice had immense pride in her family; she was always up to date on everyone, their children, and their children's children, reveling in the opportunity to share stories and updates while showing off family photos that were always displayed on the refrigerator. She loved to visit and host family meals with immediate and extended family, sharing her talent for homemade Lebanese food and baked goods.

Lourice was dedicated, hardworking, and sharp. She kept a clean house and was always on her feet; keeping busy and always pitching in with something wherever she was. She was loving, generous, and kind. In the words of her late husband, Lourice is truly a very special Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She will be missed very much.

Lourice was predeceased by her husband Herbert G. Beshara, siblings Edward, Joseph, Alfred, Matilda, and Victoria, her parents Tofic and Adele Jurdi, and her son-in-law Wayne Lannon. Her survivors include her daughter Jeanne M. Lannon of Pelham, NH, her son Robert E. Beshara and his partner Penny Norris of Bowdoinham, ME, her former daughter-in-law Cynthia T. Beshara and her partner Stephen Bunker of Englewood, FL; three grandchildren: Matthew C. Lannon, his wife Lilliana and her daughter Yaritza of Pelham, NH; Dana K. Roof, her husband Zachary, and daughters Charlotte and Morgan of North Chelmsford, MA; and Lauren T. Palmerino and her husband Andrew of North Reading, MA; her sister Evelyn Tahan and her husband Theodore of St. Louis, MO; many nieces, nephews, extended family and family friends.

Family and friends are invited to an hour of visitation on Saturday September 27, 2025 from 11 am to Noon at the Dewhirst Boles Funeral Home 80 Broadway Methuen.
