Lowell L. Brevoort

Lowell L. Brevoort, age 81 of Monroe, MI, formerly of Belvidere, IL, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Monroe Springs Rehab and Nursing Center.
Born October 29, 1942 in Freeport, IL, Lowell was the son of the late Lowell and June (Haubach) Brevoort. He graduated from Lena-Winslow High School, Lena, IL, in 1960 and married Gloria Niemeier on August 18, 1961. Sadly, she died on December 18, 2008. Lowell later married Patricia A. Townsend of Monroe on February 12, 2011.
Lowell was employed as a barber for ten years before becoming a truck driver. He was employed as a car hauler for Cassens Transport for 30 years before retiring in 2001. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending his winters in Florida where he met his wife Pat.
Lowell is survived by his wife of Monroe; three sons, David (Terri) Brevoort of Oregon, IL, Dean (Jennifer) Brevoort of Kenosha, WI, and Jason Brevoort of Belvidere, IL; sister, Gloria (Gordon) Barrick of Washington, IL; two step-daughters, Shelly (Jim) Sottile of Ida, MI and Kimberly (Jeff) Heising of Monroe; one grandchild; several step-grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife Gloria, Lowell was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeremy Brevoort.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of funeral at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Rev. Joel Luallen will officiate. Lowell will be laid to rest next to his first wife on Friday at Belvidere Cemetery.
