Loyal Carter Obituary
Loyal was born to Woodrow and Audrey Carter in Piedmont on April 11, 1944, and moved to Oakland, California in 1955 where he met Judith Brattain. They were married in Carson City, Nevada, and later moved back to Piedmont, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Loyal was a devoted husband to his loving wife for 50 years. Loyal enjoyed fun with his family, fishing, and studying his Bible.
Loyal was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judith; and siblings, Glen Howe Carter and Garry Lee Carter.
Survivors include his sister, Joann Carter King; brother, Lavanual Javan Carter; daughter, Sharon (Cameron) Hitchcock; son, Robert (Cindy) Carter; four grandchildren, Emily (Tyler) Pentecost, Randy (Jordan) Pierce, Ben (Destiny) Carter, and Will Carter; five great-grandchildren, Carter Pierce, Neal Pentecost, Ash Carter, Isaac Pierce, and believing life starts at conception, to be announced.
The family wishes a to offer a special thanks to Gadsden Regional 7th floor, Cherokee County Rehab, and Atruim Health Floyd Medical Center for welcoming Loyal's family and for the care he received.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Loyal's home, along with an Easter egg hunt, which was always a special occasion for him.
Loyal will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests giving to your favorite charity.
