Lu Anne (Robinette) Hendricks, age 71 went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, October 11, 2024.
She was born in Columbus, Indiana and was a graduate of Hauser High School and received an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Marion College. Lu worked 36 years as a registered nurse, and most recently worked for Our Hospice of South Central Indiana from 2005-2015.
Lu loved spending time with family especially with her five loving grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, feeding birds, reading, crocheting, sewing, traveling and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Benjamin (Nikki) Hendricks and Daniel Hendricks. Five grandchildren, Evelyn, Asher, Calvin, Beckham and Daxton Hendricks and one brother Robert Robinette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce, in 2023 and her parents and grandparents.
Friends and family may call from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home: 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Pastor Ethan Scott will conduct a private graveside service at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Brown County. Funeral services have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
Lu loved the Lord and the word of God. She attended Nashville Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions in memory of Lu to: Nashville Bible Church: P.O. Box 1902 Nashville, IN 47448.
