“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” - Proverbs 3:5-6
Luann Daub, a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, went to be with the Lord on March 30th, 2025 at the age of 86. Luann was born in Elberfeld, Indiana on February 10th, 1939 to Roy and Esther (Schultheis) Nicholson, and she is survived by her siblings Jackie, Carl, Patty, and Tom. Luann graduated from Elberfeld High School and beauty school. After her education, she went on to raise her family in Speedway, Indiana, where she loved her children Kimberly (Mark), Shari (David), and Raymond (Debbie). Luann was loved deeply by her grandchildren Robert, Cory, Sarah, Madison, and Cooper. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren William, Daniel, David, and Amelia Luann.
She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. Luann’s deep commitment to missionary work took her across the world, spreading the word of God’s grace to Haiti, Israel, Honduras, Tanzania, and the Amazon to name a few. She dedicated herself to spreading kindness and compassion, sharing her faith with those in need, and making a lasting impact on all the lives she touched. In addition to her missionary work, Luann’s life was full of adventure. When she wasn’t traveling with her family or church, she enjoyed exploring nature and admiring God’s creations. As a girl scout troop leader, she shared her love of the outdoors with her family. Luann spent countless hours hiking Eagle Creek Park with her grandchildren, and was a constant presence in the lives of her family members. She was the best cheerleader at all of their extracurricular events, and she always had a joke or words of encouragement to share. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
