Lucille C. Gunville

Lucille C. (LaPointe) Gunville, of Rockland, passed away on March 31, 2024, at the age of 88. She was the beloved daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Paradise) LaPointe. She was the devoted wife of the late Francis W. Gunville. Loving mother of Theresa Sullivan (Arthur) of Langdon, NH, Francis P. Gunville (Karen) of Rockland, Jeannine A. Chivers (Ron) of Carver, Andrew J. Gunville (Sherri) of Rockland, and Suzanne C. Rouvalis (William) of Marshfield. Dear sister of the late William LaPointe, Robert LaPointe, Ellen Bleau, and Henry LaPointe and proud grandmother of Herrick, Joshua and Liam Sullivan, and Sara Gunville.
As a wife of a school teacher and mother of 5 children, Lucille learned to sew and was a good cook. She knew how to make a meal stretch. Raising 5 children was quite a job and she was the best at it even saying she would have always loved to have had more. Lucille (Lou) loved her family.
She loved traveling to many states and countries with her husband, church friends, and later with her sister, brother-in-law, and brother.
Visitation at Sullivan Funeral Homes, 45 East Water Street, Rockland, on Friday, April 5th at 8 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 9 AM, celebrated at Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland. Burial to follow at Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
