It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucille Elizabeth Breaux Sedor – also affectionately known as Tee, Mamom & Vovo – on August 30, 2025 at her home in Bethel Park, PA, at the remarkable age of 99, just two months before what would have been her 100th birthday celebration.

Born in Houma, Louisiana, on November 6, 1925, Lucy was a woman of extraordinary faith and vitality who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was the devoted wife of the late John Sedor, Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful partnership of 67 years, and the beloved daughter of Julian and Irene Breaux.

Throughout her life, Lucy remained always true to her Cajun roots and proudly carried the distinction of being crowned 'Mardi Gras Queen,' an honor that reflected the joy, warmth, and vibrant spirit she brought to every celebration and gathering.

Lucy was preceded in death by her cherished sisters Sophie Manning, Vella Pellegrin, Joyce Bergeron, and Judith Henry, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond throughout their lives.

During her nearly century-long journey, Lucy bore witness to remarkable transformations in our world – from the Great Depression through the digital age – yet she remained a constant source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love for her family. Her gentle spirit, unwavering Catholic faith, and remarkable resilience served as a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Lucy's greatest joy came from her family. She leaves behind four loving daughters: Mary Sedor (Walter Bubel), Robin Sedor Metzler (Gerard), René Sedor-Franzak (Thomas), and Suzanne Sedor.

Her legacy continues through her ten devoted grandchildren and five precious great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her endless love, cherished stories, and the invaluable life lessons she shared.

Though we mourn the loss of our matriarch, we celebrate a life extraordinarily well-lived - one filled with love, laughter, and the kind of strength that builds families and shapes generations. Lucy's memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her spirit will continue to guide us in the years to come.

Visitation will be held at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care on Friday, September 5th, 2025 from 1pm-8pm, 3287 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA. 15317.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. John XXIII, St. Benedict the Abbott site, at 9:30am, Saturday, September 6th, 2025, 120 Abbington Dr, McMurray, PA 15317. Everybody please meet at the church. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. All arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
