Lucinda Lee Paulsen, a beacon of love and courage, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, in Grand Rapids, MI. Born on March 12, 1959, in Bay City, MI, Lucinda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of the human spirit.
Lucinda, known affectionately as Cindy by her friends and family, was a cherished sister to Laurie Deater, Penny (Stan) McCumber, and Gregg (Chris) Paulsen. She was an adored niece to Jim Hitts and Mike Allers and aunt to ten nieces and nephews, and a beloved figure to many great-nieces, nephews, and cousins. Lucinda's legacy is one of unending love, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew her.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Donna Paulsen, her brother Mark Paulsen, an infant brother, her niece Brittany McCumber, and her brother-in-law Mike Deater, Lucinda's memory will be honored as a symbol of familial devotion and resilience.
Lucinda's life was a portrait of unwavering kindness. She approached every person she met with a heart full of compassion. Lucinda's presence was a comfort to many, and her ability to love unconditionally was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Throughout her life, Lucinda nurtured deep bonds with her siblings.
As we bid farewell to Lucinda Lee Paulsen, we celebrate a life that was lived with grace and dignity. Her memory will be cherished in the stories passed down through generations, in the kindness she showed, and in the courage she inspired. Lucinda's spirit will continue to guide us, a loving presence forever etched in our hearts.
In honoring Lucinda's life, we reflect on the beauty of her soul and the impact she made on those around her. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Big Prairie- Everett Cemetery in White Cloud, MI.
