Lucy (Perez) Montalbine, age 89, passed away at her home in Hauppauge on September 30, 2025.

Lucy was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a dance instructor when she met and married Nazzareno F. Montalbine. She raised three children and worked as a realtor. She was an avid figure skater, horseback rider, tennis player and doll collector.

She was a wonderful mother who was always there when needed, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. She raised two daughters and one son and dedicated herself to teaching them to enjoy art, music, ice skating and tennis.

Lucy is predeceased by her husband Nazzareno and leaves behind her children, Laurie Oates (John), Thomas Montalbine (Karen), and Diane Montalbine, her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer Holsborg (Tim), Lauren Kerstein, and Aidan Montalbine and her two sisters Lillian Musameci and Gladys (Lolly) Carranza.

Lucy’s life was filled with Latin dance and classical music. She lived her life to the fullest and continued to play tennis well into her 80s, when others her age had given up running around on a court. She loved ballet, horses, dance, and art and enjoyed antique doll restoration and collecting.

Lucy was a cherished member of her community at the Hamlet Windwatch in Hauppauge, leaving behind countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
