Luella Weber Obituary Luella Weber, of Franklin, WI, formally of Iowa City IA, Durant OK and Lake Jackson TX, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 95 years, 6 months, and 17 days. She was born on Wednesday, May 22, 1929, in Batesville, Ohio to David and Gail (Clucas) Betts.
Luella attended school in Batesville and graduated in 1947.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents David Betts and Gail W Betts; Grandparents Elijah and Virginia Betts, and Frank and Luticia Clucas; sister Ruth and Brothers Donald Betts, Marion Betts, Kenneth Betts, Chester Betts, Francis Betts, Lester Betts, Donald Betts, and Dean Betts; Husband, Leslie L. Weber; Son Gary W. Weber; Grandson James D. Weber
Survivors include her Sons Paul and wife Suzy Weber of Franklin, Wisconsin; David Weber and wife Kathy of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Grandsons Randall Weber, Jeffrey Smith, Nakia Ray Weber, Jonathan Weber, and Lucas Argentim, Granddaughters Brandie Celedon and husband Stephen, Caressa Thomas, and husband Phillip. Great-grandchildren Carter and Kyler Weber, Zoe, AJ and Kai Celadon, David and Tearston Weber, Blake, Destinee, Hayleigh, and Dalaynee Thomas, numerous cousins, and extended family.
Luella worked for many years in restaurants serving wonderful food to all, including running restaurants with her husband. Lu also worked in a ceramics factory in Ohio and enjoyed bringing home the fruits of her labor to enjoy. In her retirement years, Lu loved to dote on her grandchildren who had many wonderful tales to tell.
Lu was avid and determined to keep going even when cancer reared its ugly head twice in her lifetime. She outlived two oncologists!
She was a great friend to all the animals her boys and grandchildren brought into the house over the years and spoiled them all.
Lu lived a long life and was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
The family wishes to thank Horizon Home Care and Hospice for their assistance in the last days of Lus life.
A memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
