Luis Alonzo Aguirre Sr., born on November 7, 1958, in Corpus Christi, TX left to his eternal home on February 19, 2025, from a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was a true warrior. He was the beloved husband of Stella Aguirre, his wife of 44 years.
He is survived by his 5 children, Luis Aguirre Jr., Samantha, Savannah, Selena, and Levi in addition to his 3 beautiful grandchildren, Kaiser, Isla, and Henry. He is also survived by an extended family of in-laws Adriana, wife of Luis Jr., Dave, husband to Samantha, Will, husband to Savannah, Brad, husband to Selena, Kelsey, wife of Levi and the Valadez family, Richard and Ernestine Valadez and their children, Richard Jr, Rudy, Ruben, Roy and Robert.
He also leaves behind brothers and sisters, among them are Joe, Johnny, Armando, Lynda, Arnold, Mike, Carmen, Cindy, Hank, Nelda, Trisha, Richard, and Velma who loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his cherished Grandmother, Manuela T, Grandfather, Jose B Aguirre, Father, Joe Americo Aguirre and Mother, Carrie Aguirre and his beloved sister Alma.
After his graduation from Moody High School, Luis worked with his in-laws, worked at a refinery, and sold life insurance. He then utilized his skills as a carpenter to create his own business, South Texas Remodeling and Repairs. He prioritized his time with his family and provided his wife with the honor of being a full-time mom.
He was a mighty-man of God who loved without question and a true Renaissance man. His journey on this earth was marked by love, selflessness, and unwavering faith in God. Everyone should remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way he lived and the profound and powerful impact he had on everyone around him.
Those who knew him will always remember him for his corny sense of humor and vast knowledge of history, art, language, science, and etymology. He was a talented musician who could play guitar, harmonica, drums, accordion, and piano.
Although Luis Aguirre Sr. is no longer with us in physical form, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry forth his legacy of love and laughter. He will forever be in our hearts.
