Luis Ernesto Rios, Sr., devoted Father, and Grandfather, passed away in the early morning hours of August 27, 2025 at age 99.

Luis was born in 1926 in the small town of Vista Alegre, Bayamón, Puerto Rico surrounded by his loving parents: Secundina and Ricardo Rios.

His siblings were: Jose, Angel, Eliseo, Juan

and Ricardín.

Luis was drafted by the Army at age 19

where he served in WWII.

He was Honorably Discharged in 1947.

Luis met and married the love of his life;

Fabiana Rosario, in 1954 and then went

onto to have three children and three grandchildren.

After working three jobs to support his family;

he finally obtained a Master's Degree in

Social Work from Fordham University.

He became a Social Worker tirelessly influencing his clients and subsequently the students that he was given charge of; encouraging them to reach their full potential with his positivity.

His strong family values and vibrant personality influenced him to become the most positive, caring, loving person who touched the lives of everyone that he came in contact with, all in his own unique way.

He lit up every room that he walked through

with his infectious smile and love of life.

We are greatly saddened by his loss but we know in our hearts that he is reunited with his beloved wife Fabiana and we can definitely say that Heaven has gained a Beautiful Soul that had the biggest heart of anyone that I know.

Luis is survived by his three children;

Luis E. Rios, Jr, daughter in-law Melanie,

Millie Striebel and Ruben Rios.

Three grandsons: Michael David Rios,

Adam David Striebel and Riley Derek Rios.

To say that he will be immensely missed by his loving family and friends seems too little to impart as he was cherished and treasured by all who knew him.

There will be a service with Military Honors for those that would like to pay their last respects with the viewing on September 4, 2025, at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00pm to 2:00pm,

and the funeral service will follow at,2:00pm.

Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery.
