In Loving Memory of Luis Angel Tolentino
May 29, 1972 - May 9, 2025
Born on May 29, 1972, in Juncos, Puerto Rico, Luis was the beloved son of Iris Nereida Osorio and Luis Tolentino.
Luis was known for his kind heart, goofiness, and deep love for his family. He was an amazing father, a truck driver, and an active coach in the Pershing Field Babe Ruth League and Cal Ripken League. He volunteered his time teaching and coaching young baseball and softball players. When he was not coaching, he could be spotted with his wife at his kid's games for whatever sport was in-season. On "off-days", he emphasized spending time together as a family. He inspired generations of softball and baseball players with his passion for the game, dedication, and sportsmanship. With the help of his wife, he raised three kids, molding them to be leaders and productive citizens.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marilina Avanz; their children, Elizabeth, David, and Luis Jr. (Bebo).
Coach Lou's legacy of strength, resilience, and service to the community will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
