Luis Gonzalez Zavala, age 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 19, 1949, in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico. Known to many as “El Pintor,” Luis was a longtime resident of Seguin, Texas, and the beloved husband of Yvonne Gonzalez.
He was the proud owner of Professional Coating, earning a reputation as a hardworking and honorable businessman who was highly respected within the residential and commercial painting community around Texas. Above all, Luis was a devoted family man who deeply loved his family and was immensely proud of each and every one of them.
He is survived by his children Luis Humberto Gonzalez, Julio Gonzalez (Alma), Araceli Perez (Guillermo), Sandra Gonzalez, Vickie Yanez (Eusebio), Luis Gonzalez Jr (Martha), Elizabeth Gonzalez, Carlos Gonzalez (Janet), Emily Gonzalez, the granddaughter he raised Malerie Martinez and his step daughters Veronica Garcia, Vanessa Miller, Valerie Munoz, and Vanna Garcia, and his last surviving brother Felipe Gonzalez.
He had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends and loyal customers.
