Lupe Tienda

Lupe P. Tienda Lupe was born on August 3, 1929 in Buda, Texas. It is with great sadness that Lupe passed away on June 16, 2025 in Montebello, CA As a proud Tejano, Lupe happily worked on a farm where he learned many trades. At the age of eight he would travel with his Family from Texas to Iowa and other states to pick crops and work on farms. Work was never a four-letter word for Lupe. Lupe proudly accepted any opportunity to help provide for his family. Lupe met Celia Lopez at a dance in San Antonio, Texas. They wed in 1951 and settled in San Antonio. In 1962 they moved to California with their three children – Dr. Juan Tienda, Jose Luis Tienda, and Sandra Tienda Chavez, RN. In California Lupe became an expert welder and continued to support his family. One thing we all know about Grandpa, he loved Bingo, and trips to Las Vegas. Lupe saw his children and grandchildren graduate from college and saw his family grow. He is survived by his son Dr. Juan Tienda, wife Margarita Abundes-Tienda, Grand daughter Aleena Tienda, Great Grand son Adrian Antonio Alarcon, Grand son Martin Julian Tienda, wife Blanca Aguirre Tienda, Great grandson Noah Agustine Tienda, Grandson Isaiah Julian Tienda. His son Jose Luis Tienda, his wife Angelica Solis, his Grandson Ryan Greogory Tienda, his daughter Sandra Tienda Chavez, husband Hector Chavez and grandson Anthony Tienda Chavez.
