Luther Paul Swavely 92 of Grove City, OH died March 27, 2025 peacefully of natural causes
He was born on October 1, 1932 to Clarence H and Isie Lenore in Rentachintala, India
Luther attended Wittenberg University and was a Naval Corpsman during the Korean Conflict
He married Carolyn Allen on February 14, 1957 and they raised two children, Elizabeth Lanier and John Allen
He worked as an insurance agent, site surveyor and retired from Joint Implant Surgeons as an office assistant.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Luther was an avid photographer, loved camping, and was very active with the church over the years.
Luther is survived by spouse Carolyn Allen, son John Allen, grandchildren Jacob Allen, Joseph Andrew (Brandy), Justin Alexander, and Natasha Wilmarth (Dustin), great-grandchildren Jayson Andrew, Jaxson Anthony, and Sophie Davids, and brother James LeRoy (Donna)
He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence H and Isie Lenore, siblings Robert M, John A, Elizabeth Lenore, and daughter Elizabeth Lanier.
Funeral service will be held April 22 10am at St Andrews Episcopal Church 8630 Refugee Rd Pickerington, OH 43157
Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery Springfield, OH. Donations may be made to St Andrews Episcopal Church
