Robert Lawrence Swavely

Robert Lawrence "Larry" Swavely, 83 of Holmes died on August 12, 2025 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Elise (nee Appenzeller) Swavely.
Larry had been employed as an assembler at The Budd Company for 30 years before his retirement in 1999. He was a member at the School House Senior Center and of the United Auto Workers of America. Larry loved music, especially Elvis Presley and he enjoyed eating out, watching old movies, westerns and Turner classics. He also loved telling stories and reminiscing with his family and friends.
He was the father of Linda A. Minton (Paul, Jr.) and Angela Swavely (Anthony), brother of Susan Gustafson and the late Linda Tomasulo and Louise Wheaton, grandfather of Linda Rossley and great-grandfather of Domenic Langan and Mila Rossley. He is survived by his former wife Elizabeth Dougherty Swavely and his longtime companion Helen Pennington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and Helen's children Helen, Bob and Barb.
Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial private.
