Luu Van Phát, sinh ngày 31 tháng 12 nam 1945 t i Trà Vinh, Vi t Nam, dã s ng m t cu c d i d y kiên
cu ng, cham ch và luôn h t lòng vì gia dình. Chính t i quê huong, ông dã g p ngu i v yêu d u c a
mình – ngu i dã ra di cách dây chín nam.
Ông t ng ph c v trong quân d i Vi t Nam và tr i qua nh ng nam tháng kh c li t c a chi n tranh, di u
dã rèn giua nên s m nh m và b n linh noi ông. Nam 1985, ông c'ng gia dình r i quê huong và d n
d nh cu t i Burlington, Iowa, Hoa K v i hy v ng v m t tuong lai t t d p hon. Không lâu sau, gia dình
chuy n d n Sacramento, California d tìm m t khí h u d ch u hon và co h i m i.
Ông dã g n bó ph n l n cu c d i v i công vi c phát báo cho t The Sacramento Bee, m t công vi c mà
ông luôn trân tr ng và t hào.
Ông d l i ni m ti c thuong sâu s c cho nam ngu i con trai, b n cháu trai, b y cháu gái, sáu cháu trai
ch t và hai cháu gái ch t. V i t m lòng r ng m ông luôn c m th y h nh phúc m i khi có d p tr v Vi t
Nam d tham nom và giúp d gia dình thân yêu noi quê nhà.
Vào lúc 9 gi 17 phút sáng ngày 7 tháng 10 nam 2025, ông dã ra di thanh th n trong vòng tay c a nh ng
ngu i thân yêu, t i nhà c a cháu gái.
Cu c d i ông là m t minh ch ng cho s c m nh, tình yêu và s hy sinh th m l ng. Ông s luôn du c
thuong nh và ghi d u trong trái tim c a t t c nh ng ai t ng bi t d n ông.
