Kathleen Allen, 76, of Iowa Park, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October12, 2025.

Born on February 9, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Kathleen was the beloved daughter of B.H. and Katherine Richmond. She married Michael Edwin Allen, on July 11, 1969, and together they shared 56 years.

Known affectionately by many as Sugar, Kathleen touched countless lives with her warm smile, joyful laughter, and giving heart. Her deep love for Jesus guided everything she did, and she lived in a way that radiated His grace, kindness, and unconditional love.

A lifelong educator, Kathleen loved every student as her own-pouring into their lives with compassion, encouragement, and gentle wisdom. She never spoke an unkind word, always choosing to see the best in those around her.

Her award-winning yard work and beautifully detailed artwork reflected her creativity and the care she brought to every part of her life. Whether she was tending to her flowers, crafting something beautiful, or offering a word of encouragement, she did it all with a joyful heart and a humble spirit that inspired everyone who knew her.

Kathleen is survived by her husband Mike Allen, daughters Michele Santolucito and Kay Ballard, daughter in-law Leigh Pollock, grandsons Zack Ballard, Noah Ballard, Michael Santolucito and wife Shelby, granddaughter Lolo Richinson, great granddaughters Ellie Barrington Ballard and Emory Santolucito, and her mother Katherine Richmond. She was preceded in death by her father B.H. Richmond .

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor her beautiful legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls in Kathleen's memory, in gratitude for the incredible care and compassion they provided during her final days.

Her family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the hospice staff, friends, and loved ones who offered such kindness and support. Kathleen's light and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
