Luz Moran, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 64 in Middletown, NY. She was born on September 22, 1958, in Puerto Rico to Adolfo Moran and Julia L. Nieves.
Luz was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many. She had an unwavering love for her family and an incredible zest for life.
Luz's hobbies and interests reflected her vibrant personality. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, finding solace in cleaning her surroundings, expressing herself through dancing, and finding joy in the power of music. These activities brought her immense happiness and allowed her to spread that joy to those around her.
Luz's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her children: Ramon J. Miranda and Rosita Moran; daughter-in-law: Sueheylee Rosa, her siblings: Awilda Moran, Adolfo Moran, Jose Moran, Evelyn Moran, and Lourdes Ballesteros; brother-in-law: John Ballestros; sister-in-law: Milagros Casillas; her grandchildren: Ramon J. Miranda Jr., Julia R. Miranda, Misael Suarez, Mariah Arnold, and Omayra Maldonado; her nephew, Brendan D. King; her niece, Erin M. King as well as several nieces and nephews.
Her family members were not only relatives but also closest friends who shared countless precious moments together. Luz's love and care will continue to be felt by them as they navigate life without her physical presence.
A Visitation service to honor Luz's life will take place on September 16, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Loucks Funeral Home located at 79 N Main St in Ellenville, NY. This will be an opportunity for friends and family to gather together and reminisce about the beautiful memories they shared with Luz.
Following the Visitation, a Burial service will be held at Fantinekill Cemetery located at 8068 US-209 in Ellenville, NY. This solemn event will immediately follow and will provide an opportunity to say a final goodbye to Luz as she is laid to rest.
Luz Moran's departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew her. Although we mourn her loss, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace. Her memory will continue to shine brightly through the love and kindness she shared during her time on earth.
We kindly ask that you keep Luz Moran and her grieving family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Let us remember her with smiles, for that is how she would want to be remembered – as a ray of sunshine that brightened our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
