Lyla Karnitz Obituary
Lyla Lillian Karnitz, Age 97, of Prior Lake, MN, entered eternal life with her Lord on April 8, 2024.
She was born to Carl and Louise Jabs on June 14, 1926, in Jordan, MN. Lyla was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith. In 1948, Lyla married Emil Karnitz. The Lord blessed them with 64 years of life together.
Lyla was a faithful witness to her Christian faith her entire life. She taught Sunday school for many years and was an active member of the women's groups at the churches she attended, most recently at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Prior Lake, MN.
Lyla was preceded in death by her parents; Emil (husband); and son (David).
Lyla is survived by 2 sons, James (Patricia) and Mark; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Lyla's earthly journey and entry into eternal life will be held at a future date.
