Lyle "Buck" Habeck, 73, died peacefully on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at his home. Lyle was born on September 4, 1951, in Manitowoc, to Hugo & Meta (Radue) Habeck, and was baptized into the Christian faith on September 16, 1951, at St. John Lutheran Church, Maribel. He attended St. John Lutheran Grade School, and was confirmed into the WELS faith on April 11, 1965. He attended Manitowoc Lutheran High School, and graduated in 1969. Buck drove milk truck for Lake to Lake for many years, and then worked for Steve Schenian Trucking, Francis Creek. After retirement, he worked part time at Bumper to Bumper, Manitowoc. He also volunteered at Manitowoc Lutheran High School transporting students from Kiel to the high school. Buck was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, in Maribel, where he served as an elder. He was a Federation delegate for Manitowoc Lutheran High School. He belonged to the Francis Creek Sportsman's Club. Buck enjoyed following his favorite sports teams: the Badgers, Brewers, and the Packers; watching NASCAR and stock car racing especially at the 141 Speedway; and playing sheepshead. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. Buck is survived by his sister, Lois (Larry) Schneider, 2 nephews: Todd (Holly) Schneider, Slinger, and TJ (Kelly) Schneider, Manitowoc; 1 great nephew, Bradley Schneider; and 4 great nieces: Jordan Schneider, Sydney (Aaron) Shafranski, Payton (fiancé Kyle) Schneider, Brenna (Wyatt) Ellis; and cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugo and Meta Habeck. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 14311 South Maribel Road, Maribel, WI. Officiating will be Rev. William Harley with burial to follow at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. A special "Thank You" to dear friends, Tom and Susie Maresh, Jeff and Mandy Maresh; his faithful caregivers-Jodi B. and Nikko S. and the Sharon Richardson Hospice for their love and support during Buck's illness.
