Lyn Irene Glezen Brant, born in Cortland, NY on November 3, 1949, was summoned home to Heaven on August 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted matriarch, Lyn was fiercely protective of both her family and her patients. To those who knew her, she was a beacon of strength, intelligence, compassion, and unwavering Christian faith - a true angel on Earth. Her family knew her as a beloved wife, mom, nana, and best friend. She was the best among us.
Our Mom put everyone else first. After God, she actively embraced her husband, her kids, and her grandchildren with everything she had. Her energy and passion to make everyone else happy was her everyday normal. She was the rock and mortar that kept the Brant family together. We all went to Mom to share our joys, cry on her shoulder, get advice, and talk about our day. Mom was our everything.
Lyn had a special love for birthdays, often saying, "Birthdays are better than Christmas." She was known for her selflessness, always willing to go without so others wouldn't have to. Her generosity and joy were felt by all who crossed her path.
She served the Bethany, Oklahoma community with dedication as a Nurse Practitioner at Bethany Medical Clinic, where she was cherished by colleagues and patients alike. When not with family, Lyn found joy in attending church, sewing, and shopping for antiques.
Lyn is survived by her husband and best friend of 46 years, Dr. Douglas Brant Sr; her three sons, Andy (Destari) Brant, Brian Brant, Chris (Amanda) Brant; one stepson, Dr. Douglas (Sherri) Brant; and her eight grandchildren: Easton, Edmund, Paden, Caitlin, Grace, Ryleigh, Abby, and Piper. She also leaves behind four sisters: Marjorie Livingston, Joanie (Joe) Orzo, Brenda (Doug) Tillotson, Carol (Doug) Smith, as well as her extended Bethany Medical Clinic family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 12 to honor the incredible woman she was. Please join the Brant family at Bethany Medical Clinic, 6801 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK from 1-4pm.
Mom was our everything, our lighthouse! We love you, Mom!
