Lich Thanh Vu

Lich Vu, 72, passed away on October 3, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on May 5, 1953 in Phat Diem, Bac Viet, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War, he served for the Air Force in Vietnam. He immigrated to the United States after the war. Shortly thereafter, he managed and worked at a food court restaurant known as the Orange Bowl in the former Shepherd Mall. A few years later, he worked for General Motors until he retired in 2005. From 2007 to 2018, he hosted an annual charity party called "An Act of Kindness" to fundraise for orphanages, leprosy patients and psychiatric clinics back in Vietnam.
Lich enjoyed volunteering, being involved in the Vietnamese community, gardening and making others laugh. He spent several years volunteering at Church Under the Bridge and Salvation Army. He also actively served at Saint Francis of Assisi Church.
Lich is survived by his wife, Lan; son, Long; and daughters, Teresa and Lily. He will be greatly missed.
Viewing will be on Thursday, 10/9/25 from 12:00 pm to 6:45 pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service and at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Friday, 10/10/25 from 5:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, 10/11/25 at 10:00 am at Saint Francis of Assisi Church with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church under the Bridge, Salvation Army, OKC Homeless Alliance or City Rescue Mission.
