Lynn B. Barton, 71, passed away on November 7, 2025. Born on October 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Bernard C. Barton and Joan Marie Fiedler.
Lynn was a passionate and hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to beekeeping and agriculture. He was an active member of the Empire State Honey Producers Association and the New York State Beekeepers Association and also served as a New York State Bee Inspector. Beyond his love for bees, Lynn enjoyed making maple syrup, brewing his own beer, and engaging in a wide variety of crafts. His creativity and dedication were evident in everything he did.
Lynn is survived by his son Brian (Raquel) Barton; brothers Richard (Alice) Barton and Bill (Sandy) Barton; sisters Marie (Tom) Pieling and Susan (Ying) Yee; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, his son Jacob Barton, and his daughter Jennifer Barton.
Lynn will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and tireless work ethic. His love for nature, family, and community will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home 60 Broad Street, Morris, NY with his funeral service to follow.
