Lynn Allen Bohn, 64, Alexandria, formerly Breckenridge, MN, passed away on May 29, 2023, at the Knute Nelson Care Facility in Alexandria, MN after a short, courageous battle with cancer. His visitation will be at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. with prayer services starting at 7. His funeral will take place at Vertin-Munson Funeral Home on Friday June 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. As per Lynn's wishes, his remains will be cremated. Pastor Tooman will officiate.
Lynn was born March 13, 1959, in Breckenridge, MN to Harold and Marcella Bohn. He was baptized and attended Grace Lutheran Church in Breckenridge while growing up. Lynn graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1977 and the North Dakota State School of Science in 1979. In 1983 he married Merrianna Bartush and they had two children, a son Jeremiah, and a daughter Kaylle.
He worked at Ro-Banks Tool and Manufacturing Company in Wahpeton and for many years drove cars in area demolition derbies, winning many first-place trophies. He was very skilled at working on and fixing cars and enjoyed all kinds of auto racing. Lynn moved to Denver, CO in 1996 and while living there married Cathie Lein. In 2007 Lynn moved back to Fergus Falls, MN to be nearer his children. While still able, he enjoyed driving his Harley Davidson (Trike) motorcycle.
Lynn struggled with chronic back pain, and other health challenges most of his life but always kept a positive attitude. His many friends and family helped him celebrate four years of sobriety shortly before his death, an achievement he was very proud of. Even though he experienced extreme pain in his final days, Lynn's eyes would light up when he saw, or could talk to, his granddaughter.
Lynn is survived by his mother Marcella, three brothers, son Jeremiah (Bridget Murphy), Lisbon, ND, daughter Kaylle, Alexandria, MN, and granddaughter Clodagh Mae, Lisbon. He was preceded in death by his father Harold.
