Brenny Family Funeral Chapel & Crematory Services - Baxter/BrainerdLynn Edward Hansen, 82, of Breezy Point, Minnesota, formerly of Algona, Iowa passed away on September 26, 2025 at Essentia Health-St Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Algona, Iowa on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 10:30am. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service in the Presentation Center.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Algona, Iowa following the service.
Lynn Hansen was born on September 30, 1942 in Algona, Iowa to Wade and Catherine Hansen. He was the second child of three, including his older brother Durick (Dirk) and younger sister, Vicki.
Lynn attended and graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in Algona, Iowa. He received his secondary education from Mankato State University: a Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Administration, Master’s Degree and Specialist Degree in General Administration.
Lynn was united in marriage to Carolyn Paulsen on August 21, 1967 at St Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Algona, Iowa.
The couple were blessed with two children, Kara and Jeff.
Upon retirement, Lynn and Carolyn settled in Breezy Point, Minnesota, where he enjoyed fishing, gardening and lawn care.
Lynn was a member of St Alice’s Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota.
His biggest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kara(Paul)Parcher, Rockford Iowa and Jeff(Michelle)Hansen, Elk River, Minnesota. Grandchildren: Lauren Parcher, Ashley(Cory) Bosshart, Ethan(Hannah) Parcher and Jacob Hansen. Great-grandchildren: Mack and Hallie Parcher and Brynnley Bosshart, his sister, Vicki Steil, Decorah, Iowa, Brothers in law, Milton Paulsen,Jr, Albert Lea, Minnesota and Jim Paulsen and many nieces and nephews.
Lynn was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, his parents, Wade and Catherine Hansen, Carolyn's parents, Milton Senior and Virginia Paulsen, his brother, Dirk Hansen and sister in law, Diana Hansen and his sister in law, Elaine Paulsen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
