Lynn Ann Rossi, age 71, of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 6, 2025 while under hospice care. She was born May 19, 1954 in Richmond, VA to Colllie & Gloria (Sloan) Miller.
Lynn spent several years in banking before being convinced by a friend to see the world by becoming a flight attendant. Ever inquisitive, Lynn constantly asked pilots about the various instruments and controls until one pilot suggested she learn to fly. Lynn took up the suggestion, earned her pilot's license and became a flight instructor.
She was Assistant Chief Flight Instructor at AV-Ed Aviation in Leesburg, VA and later co-owner and Chief Flight Instructor at Sunquest Aviation Services, LLC in West Palm Beach, FL. Lynn also was the Chief Pilot for Dream Air, LLC giving rides in a red WACO YMF-5D open cockpit biplane along the beaches of Palm Beach County Florida.
In addition to flying, Lynn enjoyed fencing in her younger days, gardening, entertaining at her home and boating aboard the "Lady Lynn". She particularly loved going to beach and had many fond memories of camping in the Outer Banks with her son, sister, brothers and mother.
Lynn is preceded in death by her father Collie F. Miller, her mother Gloria (Sloan) Miller and her sister Colleen Walker.
Lynn is survived by her husband Marc A. Rossi, her son Patrick Penderville, her brother Gary Miller, and her brother Michael Miller.
A private memorial gathering will be held by her family. Donations in Lynn's memory can be made to Treasure Coast Hospice of Stuart, Fl.
