Lynn Patrick Schommer, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence in Green Bay, WI 54303 on April 23, 2025, with family by his side. He was born in Appleton, WI, on July 26, 1953, to Nicholas H. and Ramona M. (Metoxen) Schommer.
Lynn married Rebecca VanEnkenvoort on October 18, 1983, and later separated but remained dedicated to one another.
Lynn worked for Oneida since 1990 and retired in 2016. He enjoyed going camping, loved animals and kids, the Green Bay Packers, bonfire, and fireworks. He was full of great one-liners and jokes. He would want us all to know that he stands tall to talk above them all, "don't forget I'm going to the big house."
Lynn is survived by the mother of his children, Rebecca; their children, Leah Schommer, Dominic Schommer, and Joshua Schommer, his daughters, Maria Schommer and Jasmin Gartland; four grandchildren, Kylee, Destiny (Mitch), Justice, Mazzie, and one great-grandchild, Enzo; four sisters, Paula Schommer, Cheryl Schommer, Darlene (Tim) Flunker, Bonnie Delfosse; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Dan), Bronson, Jordan (Ben); aunts, Norma (Gerald) Rammer, Lois Strong; cousins, Kristin Okamoto, Jameson (Merissa) Wilson, Pat (Paula) Metoxen, Krissy Metoxen, and Rae (David) Skenandore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Ramona, sister Colleen Schommer, uncle and aunt Patrick (Sandra) Metoxen.
Family and friends may call at Riverview Baptist Church, 216 N. Main Street, Seymour, WI 54165, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with Pastor Scotty Backhaus presiding.
The Schommer family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bellin Hospital and Unity Hospice for their care and consideration.
