Lynn Marie Sieja

"SIEJA, Lynn Marie (nee Hannah), 72, passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2025 with her family by her side after a very short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on April 7, 1953 in Detroit, MI and spent most of her young life in Warren with her family until she married the late Gregg Sieja on May 16, 1975. Days after their marriage, they moved out to Venice Beach, CA to pursue Gregg's music career. Lynn has always been lovingly referred to as a sun goddess by her family and she spent much of her early marriage on the beach in Venice with her dogs. After she and Gregg had their three children in California, they moved back to Michigan to be closer to family.

She took great joy in her family, especially her three children: Jami (Jeff) Tripoli, Carrie (Andre Goodreau) Sieja and Cole (Julia) Sieja and her six grandchildren: Bennett, Hannah, Charlotte, Dylan, Sloane and Case, who were the light of her life. Whether cheering them on at their activities, hosting sleepovers at Grandma's house, plying them with too many sweets, listening to endless sports facts or sitting on the floor playing games with them, she cherished every moment with them. She was also a dear sister to Shelley (Don) Johnson, Michael (Lori) Hannah, and Paul (Karen) Hannah and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Lynn dedicated many years of her life serving the Clawson Schools as a secretary, where her organization, reliability, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on staff, students, and families alike.

Outside of work and her family, Lynn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a passion for gardening, a love for exploring and collecting ideas on Pinterest and sitting by the pool or on a beach getting "some sun". Her constant companion, her beloved dog Murphy, was never far from her side, and their bond brought her endless comfort and joy.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend whose love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She faced her illness with grace and dignity, never losing her sense of humor or her love for those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Thelma Hannah, her former husband Gregg Sieja and her faithful dog, Murphy.

A celebration of life will be held for family and close friends.

Though services will be private, the family invites those wishing to honor her to consider a donation to the Animal Welfare Society of Southeastern Michigan in her memory
