Lynne Marie Transue, 72, of Cresco, was called home on Thursday, June 19th, 2025 at the Monroe County Hospice House surrounded by her loving family. Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Stout) Stettler. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in East Stroudsburg. Lynne was the beloved wife of the late Walter Keith Transue with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Although Lynne had many jobs throughout her life, she was best known as a devoted homemaker, who put family before everything. Above all, she was a loving wife, a cherished mother and beloved grandmother.
Lynne spent many hours volunteering for her local community. She served on the Ladies auxiliary of the Coolbaugh Twp Vol fire Company, participated in the Tobyhanna athletic association where she could often be found in the concession stand serving up goodies and cheering on all the players.
Lynne will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Keith Transue and his partner Kari Ann Payne of Mt. Pocono, Kevin Transue and his wife Tina Transue of Cresco, Ed Transue and his wife Shell Belotti, Ronald and wife Ruth Ann Transue; brother, Charles Strunk and wife Glenda of Havlock, NC; sisters, Lee Ann Strunk and her husband Glenn of Magnolia Delaware; Lori Kulp and her husband Bob of Stroudsburg; grandchildren, Renee "Peanut" Tarnecky, Christine DeKnight, Roni Lynn Transue, Ronald Transue Jr., Hunter Transue, Xzander Transue, Jacob Transue, Zachary Transue, Spencer Transue, Kylie Transue and Elizabeth Transue as well as, many beloved nieces and nephews.
Services: A memorial service will take place at 6:15P.M. on July 11th at the Mt. Pocono Methodist Church,12 Church Ave, Mt Pocono, PA 18344 where the family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00P.M. until the time of service. Fellowship will follow service at Carraza's Restaurant.
