Lynnette Lee Mickelson, 63, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on January 13, 2024, after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born in Akron, Colorado, on November 19, 1960, to Kenneth and Eris Lee. She was one of eleven children.
After graduating from Perkins County High School, Lynnette went to Kearney State College and graduated with an associate degree in Secretarial Science. She excelled at each position she held and especially enjoyed working at Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative for nearly 17 years where she developed many close friendships.
In 1987, Lynnette met Mark Mickelson and his daughter, Alicia. Mark and Lynnette were married on September 2, 1989, and they became a family of four when their daughter, Brittney, was born. Lynnette was a devoted Christian, loving Mother and cherished Friend.
Lynnette was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Eris Lee; also, two sisters, Myrna Powell and Martha Granados.
Lynnette is survived by her husband, Mark; daughters, Alicia and Brittney Mickelson; one grandson, Collin Hamilton; siblings: Dennis Lee, Charlotte Arnold, Cheryl Nollett, Leon Lee, Karen Seck, Kathleen Lee, Cynthia Schneider and Tammy Reznicek; twenty nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Her celebration of life will be held on January 27, 2024, at Vintage Church in Edmond, 711 S. Kelly Ave., Edmond, Oklahoma 73003. Please reach out to the family for details.
