Eileen McKeown, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away January 7, 2025.
Born March 9, 1933, she was one of three children of Timothy and Mary Eleanor (Gartner) O'Neill, Jr. She graduated from Regina High School and worked for Cincinnati Bell before marrying the late James J. McKeown in 1956. Eileen later worked at H & R Block for 35 years.
Her family was Eileen's greatest joy and she particularly loved family gatherings for holidays and special events. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, participating in bridge clubs, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her children - Jim (Kathleen) McKeown, Mary Pat (Ken) Raupach, Mike McKeown, Tim (Kerri) McKeown - and 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband and by her two sisters, Sr. Mary Timothea, RSM, and Colleen Muchmore.
Visitation is Monday, January 13, 9:00-10:00, at St. Xavier Church, Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McAuley Convent- Sisters of Mercy, 1768 Cedar Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45224.
