Mabel Clark Nance of Berryville, Arkansas was born in Rockhouse, Arkansas on April 12, 1938, to William Edward and Marie Vittie (Worley) Clark. Mabel passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Berryville, at the age of 86.
A Christian by faith, Mabel was baptized in the Kings River. Her biggest passion was quilting, but she also enjoyed cross-stitching and gardening. She worked at Tyson Foods and Glick Manufacturing. Mabel was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, Memaw to her grandsons, and a friend to many. She would argue that she had the very best neighbors.
On June 27, 1959, Mabel married Rodney Nance, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her parents and siblings George, Charles, Roger, Dale, and infant sister Dixie Clark.
She is survived by her son Roger Nance and his wife Sandra of Berryville, AR, son Ray Nance and wife Gayle of Berryville, AR, three grandchildren Ryan, Rusty, and Ross Nance, sister Glenda Plyler and her husband Jim of Springdale, AR, sister-in-law Janice Clark of Eureka Springs, AR, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 17, 2024, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Rockhouse Cemetery, c/o Jimmy Clark, 1381 CR 509, Eureka Springs, AR 72632. Arrangements under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
