Mabel Samons

Mabel Samons, age 100 of Martin, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1925 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Charley & Ticker Samons. She was the wife of the late Casey Samons. She is survived by her Son: Charles Casey (Charlotte) Samons of Martin, Kentucky; Daughter: Brenda Sturgill of Martin, Kentucky; Special Daughter: Jennifer Shepherd; Grandchildren: Jerry (Sherry) Sturgill, Howard Sturgill, Stephen Sturgill, Jenni Samons (Scott Potter) & Jason (Julie) Samons; Great Grandchildren: Amber Sturgill, Eric Sturgill, Alyssa Sturgill, Joshua Sturgill, Dylan Sturgill, Alexa Sturgill, Carson Samons, Casey Dean Sturgill, Casey Hutchinson, Devin Hutchinson, Nicholas Green & Gabriel Green; 11 Great Great Grandchildren. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter: Gail Samons. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 6pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky and will continue all day Sunday, March 8, 2026

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 9, 2026 at 1pm at the funeral home with Church of Christ Ministers officiating

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
