Troy B. Samons, age 87 of Banner, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1939 in Dana, Kentucky to the late Hezzie & Bessie Conn Samons. He was a US Army Veteran, retired coal miner & member of John W. Hall Masonic Lodge #950. He is survived by his one & only true love: Linda Conn Samons; Sons: Craig Samons, Hugh David Conn & Troy Jr. Samons; Daughter: Michelle (Jon) Bowling; Grandchildren: Rocky (Samantha) Nagy, Tiffany (James) Cole, Donovon (Kacey) Stumbo & David Lee Conn; Great Grandchildren: Tyson, Weatherly, Derrick, Brooklyn Mae, Autumn & Leiland; Brothers & Sister: Coy (Linda) Samons, Dan (Margie) Samons, Hezzie Jr. (Donnette) Samons & Dovie (the late Robert) Damron; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son: Dow Hezzie Samons; Brothers & Sister: Wilburn R. (Gina) Samons, Bert W. (Bernice) Samons, Lowell (Mary) Samons Sr. & Wanda (Gilbert) Marcum; Sister-in-law: Ada Samons. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2026 at 5pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 1pm at the funeral home with Dan Samons officiating

Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
