Mable Hill Bivens, 93, of Monroe, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 10, 2025. Born in Union County on March 28, 1932, Mable's passion was her family, and she loved nothing more than entertaining them in her home.
With her southern flair and timeless elegance, she was the perfect hostess, making everyone feel welcome. She was an amazing baker and a wonderful cook, and she showed her love by bringing her family together over countless delicious meals, creating memories that will be cherished for generations.
She is predeceased by her husband, her beautiful and cherished daughter, and her five siblings. She leaves behind a devoted loving family to cherish her memory: her son, three granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their deep gratitude to Sheila London, a beloved friend whose steadfast support during times of need was a gift not only to her, but her entire family. They would also like to thank Crystal, her deacon, friend, and prayer warrior, for her constant spiritual support, love, and compassion.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Monroe, 109 Morrow Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
