Maddox Erler Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Michaelson Funeral Home - West Concord on Jul. 7, 2025.
Maddox Roger Erler, beloved son of Kevin and Taylor (Ellingson) Erler, passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on Saturday, July 5, 2025, just days before his 4th birthday.
Born on July 11, 2021, Maddox entered the world with Myotonic Dystrophy, a rare and challenging condition. From the very beginning, Maddox showed remarkable courage and strength. Despite the obstacles he faced, he radiated a gentle, joyful presence that touched everyone around him. His quiet resilience and warm, observant nature made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Maddox found joy in the everyday moments. He loved watching his big brother Keegan run and play, as well as always cheering proudly for his brother Jayce from the sidelines at games. Some of his favorite times were sharing soft, melty, chocolate chip cookies and glasses of milk with Mom, or being snuggled up to Dad on the couch watching Bluey and loved playing peek-a-boo with Grandpa Roger. He beamed with delight when Cousin Kailey was home to help for the summers or as Grandma Lori showered him with hugs and kisses. Maddox was always included in every family outing. Still, it was the joyous moments with others outdoors at the pool, zoo, or up north at the cabin with his family, which fulfilled his spirit. One of his most memorable adventures was a recent family trip to South Padre Island, where he soaked in the sun and laughter with those who loved him most. These places were not just destinations; they were where memories were made, love was felt deeply, and Maddox could simply be Maddox.
Though his time here was far too short, Maddox gave his family a lifetime of love in just a few precious years. His memory will live on in their hearts forever, and their comfort comes in knowing that Maddox is now with God-whole, at peace, and watching over them always.
Maddox is survived by his parents; his brothers, Jayce Leonardo (Mariah Busch) and Keegan Erler; grandparents: Roger (Denise) Ellingson, Lori (Rick Franzen) Ellingson, and Tracy Erler; great-grandmother, Patricia Pool; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and special caretakers.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his grandfather, Ron Erler, and his great-grandparents.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Maddox's devoted caregivers-Kailey Ellingson, Jami Robbins, Meagan Bermea, and others-for their compassionate care and love.
