Madelin Ortiz Guzman, 54, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. She was born on July 25, 1970, in the Bronx, New York. Maddy was a hardworking and intelligent woman, but above all, she was a caregiver at heart. She was a natural nurturer, kind, generous, and deeply selfless. Maddy never hesitated to step up for her family, offering love, care, and support without being asked. She lovingly cared for her mother in her final years, a testament to the compassion and strength that defined her life.
Maddy was most joyful when surrounded by her family, whether sharing laughter, giving warm hugs, or simply being together. She was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren, who brought her deep joy and purpose.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jessie Guzman, Jr.; her daughter, Jasmine Temple; her stepson, David Guzman; her niece, Alexis Ortiz; her sister, Marisol Ortiz (and husband, Manuel Ruiz); her brother, Pedro Ortiz; her beloved grandsons, Silas and Gavin Guzman; and her great-niece, Leila Vallejo. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cruz Angelica Ortiz.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 PM at Lohman Funeral Home, located at 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, Florida 32137. A prayer service will take place at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
