Maddalena G. "Madeline" ( Lepre) Apicerno
97, of Cranston passed away on February 11, 2024 at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor Apicerno. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Natale and Teresa ( Guida) Lepre.
Madeline worked for the State of Rhode Island for over 20 years; after her retirement she volunteered at Roger Williams Medical Center. Madeline was extremely independent, driving until the age of 96 and enjoying the freedom that her car brought her. She had a lifelong love of the beach and spent years visiting the Narragansett beaches. She enjoyed spending time with her family and derived much pleasure dotting over all the beloved family dogs.
She is survived by her loving children: David V. Apicerno of Burrillville and Linda Amore and her husband Alfonse of Scituate. She was also the cherished grandmother of: Kristen, Lauren, Christopher and Nicholas and great grandmother of 4. Madeline was the sister of the late: Joseph, Rudolph "Rudy", Orlando "Skippy" and Michael Lepre and Mary Castigliego.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday morning from 9-10am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St Mark's Church, 9 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Rhode Island SPCA, 155 Plan Way Warwick, RI 02886.
