Madeline "Mady" Stanton, 77, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 2nd, 2023. Madeline was born October 12th, 1945, in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey. Madeline was a hard-working, loving, caring, and gentle soul. She touched the hearts of many, especially her family. She prided herself in being the best wife, mother, and grandmother. Madeline enjoyed sipping her morning coffee while bird-watching and playing with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her family will forever cherish the memories they've been so lucky to share with her all these years.
Madeline is predeceased by her true love, the late Dale R. Stanton (12/2013), and her parents, the late Peter Klaver and Stella Lipka Klaver. Madeline is also predeceased by her siblings (Sisters): Virginia (2017), Francis (Franny) (2001), Anna (2021), and Brothers: John (2019) and Lincoln (2021). Madeline is survived by her two loving children, son Rory and (wife) Debbie Stanton, and three grandsons, Rory, Matthew, and Justin (wife Olivia). Daughter Penny and (husband) Steve Lunzman, three Granddaughters, Amanda (husband George), Christina (husband Justin), and Robyn (husband Ryan). Madeline is also survived by five Great-Grandchildren (in order by age) Max, Leonidas, Madeline Dale, Archer, and Harvey.
Madeline is also survived by her siblings: Peter, Ali, Candyce, April, Melody, and Nellie. Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home Inc has assisted the family with arrangements.
A private service will be held for immediate family only at this time.
